Converse DRKSHDW One Star Pro - New Converse from Rick Owens

Rick Owens and Converse continue their long-standing collaboration with the DRKSHDW line, presenting the One Star Pro Pack, which will release on November 18, 2025. The design includes two colorways: "Acid Black" and "Dark Dust," each covered in a ponyhair-like material, giving the classic One Star silhouette a whole new texture.

The collaboration started in 2021 when Rick Owens presented The TURBODRK Chuck 70 , Converse's first square-toe sneaker, was a design unlike any other and instantly achieved iconic status. Since then, the collaboration has spawned a number of other lines:

TURBODRK - classic Chuck 70, but broken with geometric proportions, square toe-box, flattened rubber, elongated tongue.

TURBOWPN - An interpretation of the basketball Weapon model, a massive, brutalist silhouette.

DBL DRKSTAR - Distinguished by their platform-like construction and double sole, they represent a fusion of punk and haute couture in an everyday form.

The latest model also features an elongated tongue and a wider sole, typical of the DRKSHDW aesthetic. Rick's signature star appears on the sides, and the tongue features co-branding from Converse and Owens. The whole thing sits on a classic, vulcanized sole that emphasizes the skateboarding pedigree of the One Star models. What really catches the eye is the ponyhair texture—the material covers virtually the entire shoe, from the forefoot to the heel, creating a wild, raw effect. The color palette is limited but well-thought-out: "Acid Black" is an intense black with a greenish tint, while "Dark Dust" is a muted gray, almost ash, both maintaining a minimalist, monolithic style. This is another example of Owens using its partnership with Converse to push the boundaries of form. It takes the classic One Star and gives it an architectural, experimental edge. The textures, materials, and proportions speak the language of brutalist fashion while remaining a functional everyday shoe.
