Adidas Originals and SpongeBob SquarePants have collaborated on a collaboration that's simultaneously playful, nostalgic, and stylish. The Winter 2025 collection pays homage to the cartoon's underwater world and classic adidas silhouettes that many have known since childhood.
The pack includes two models: the Stan Smith Freizeit "SpongeBob" and the Superstar II "Patrick Star." The former pays homage to SpongeBob himself with a patent black finish reminiscent of his signature patent leather shoes, while details like sock motifs and Plankton insoles enhance the show's atmosphere. Even the pineapple-shaped box is a nod to his Bikini Bottom home.
The Superstar "Patrick Star" offers a completely different aesthetic—pastel pink, soft suede, and ocean-inspired motifs. The colors and textures accurately reflect Patrick's appearance: the pink upper is his skin, the green and purple accents reference his shorts, and the slightly "foam" texture gives a cartoonish impression.
Neither model replicates the characters, but rather transfers their distinctive features to the sneaker genre. This makes the shoes wearable while also instantly evocative of the series' characters, making them a great option for fans of this cultural fable. The full pack is scheduled to premiere on November 20, 2025.
