The new Nike GT Future – a futuristic basketball shoe from Nike

The GT Future project was first spotted during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025 , worn by rapper and others Wale during the Nike Future Game. In the photos, we could see a completely new silhouette : the Nike GT Future , which is intended to represent the next generation of basketball players — those who are not afraid to stand out and want to look like players from the future.

The latest design is raw, sculptural, and industrial, with a smooth, almost one-piece outer material. The sole shape is thoughtfully designed—wide in the forefoot and rear to enhance stability during moments of maximum dynamics. The interior features an optional bootie with a padded heel lock system, which helps keep the foot in place even during sharp movements. Inside, the GT Future offers truly powerful technology: an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot , a full Zoom Strobel plate, and Cushlon 3.0 foam . This combination is designed to deliver propulsion, excellent responsiveness, and stability—the most valuable aspects of a basketball shoe.

The model will debut in three color versions:

• “Fire” – intense orange with black accents.

• “Black / Metallic Silver” – matte black with a futuristic metallic finish.

• “Lightning Yellow” – a yellow-orange gradient that catches the eye immediately.

This latest release signals that Nike is not resting on its laurels; the brand aims to set new directions and future trends for athletic footwear. The Nike GT Future will premiere on December 20, 2025.
