Jil Sander x PUMA: Minimalizm w wersji FW26

German precision meets sports heritage in one of this year's most elegant drops. This is not the first encounter for these two brands. Their history is a return to their roots, to a time when they jointly created an entirely new category of lifestyle footwear.

Jil Sander: The Queen of 90s Minimalism

In the era of exaggerated 80s and 90s (when Gianni Versace and Christian Lacroix revelled in gold and patterns), Jil Sander (along with Helmut Lang and Miuccia Prada) went in a completely opposite direction. As the creator of "luxury minimalism," she proved that an ascetic cut, reduction of embellishments, excellent tailoring, and the best materials from Italy weigh far more in the fashion world than logomania. Today, under the direction of Luke and Lucie Meier, the brand cultivates this "aesthetic of silence," adding a touch of warmth and sensuality.

PUMA and the Birth of High-Fashion Sneakers

Before the world went crazy for massive Balenciaga Triple S, and adidas started making shoes with Yohji Yamamoto (Y-3), something groundbreaking happened. In 1998, PUMA joined forces with Jil Sander. They redesigned the classic football model (PUMA King), giving it the elegance of a dress shoe. They were pioneers – for the first time, a sports brand created such an exclusive, luxurious lifestyle product, which was worn with suits.

About the project: The racing low-profile returns

The new model presented on the Milan FW26 runway is a tribute to that revolution, and at the same time, a strong alignment with the upcoming trend for extremely low, "flat" shoes (PUMA Speedcat or Sparco vibes). This aerodynamic, sleek silhouette has been stripped of unnecessary elements. The upper is made from a single piece of perfectly tanned, matte calfskin. The famous side Formstrip is not sewn on – it has been subtly pressed into the leather structure, visible only at the right angle of light. Thin, waxed laces and a minimalist rubber sole enhance the impression of pure luxurious form.

Quiet luxury in its purest, sporty form. These shoes don't need to scream with logos from across the street for everyone in the room to know who has the best taste.
